Pastor Kayanja serves NDA intending to sue
Miracle Centre Cathedral lead Pastor Robert Kayanja has served National Drug Authority (NDA) and their Public Relations Manager, Abiaz Rwamwiri.
Through his legal team of, Katende and Ssempebwa and company advocates, NDA and their PRO who drafted a press release accusing the man of God of trading in a dangerous tick drug are in a defamation case.
Titled ‘counterfeit tick-off acaricide being promoted by Pastor Robert Kayanja signed by Rwamwiri part of the press statement read.
“NDA on January 02 2023 learned with concern the manufacture, distribution, and use of ‘TICKOFF’ a purported acaricide produced by CPM Wave that was first publicly promoted by Pastor Robert Kayanja at one of his services at Rubaga Church during the 2022 Christmas season.”
NDA and Rwamwiri have been given 72 hours to issue an apology or the intention to sue the said two parties is put into action.
“We act for and on behalf of Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracles center cathedral, a well-respected senior citizen of Uganda with a national and international reputation,” reads part of the notice adding.
“We have been informed by Our Client that Mr. Abiaz Rwamiri and NDA published defamatory remarks about Our Client on the 11th of January 2023 and demand that you publicly withdraw the said defamatory statements within 72 hours.”
