Security guard shoots resident over a woman
Police in Kiruhura are hunting for Didas Kiiza a security guard with New Uganda Securico Company Limited for shooting to death a man only identified as Abel over a woman.
The suspect was on guard duty at EBBO SACCO Limited Kinoni branch in Kinoni trading Center, Kasana parish, Kinoni sub-county on 01/02/2023 at around 2149/c when the incident happened.
The victim was shot in the forehead and died instantly.
According to ASP Kasasira Samson the PRO Rwizi, preliminary findings indicate that the duo fought over a woman at the bar on 25/01/2023 at around 2300/c.
That while at a bar of a lady only identified as Stella, a fight ensued but they were separated. However, last night, the suspect saw the deceased and stopped him, shot him once in the forehead and took off.
Kiiza disappeared with his gun and that of his colleague whom he was guarding at the SACCO but dropped them about 20 meters away from the scene.
The guns are; rifle number SAR UG.POL 92221108090 and UG.POL.FH 68536-108385 that have both been recovered by police and exhibited.
The hunt for Kiiza is ongoing as he is still at large.
