Three suspects arrested over murder by shooting in Busabala

Detectives at Katwe Police Station are holding three suspects on allegations of murder by shooting.

SSP Patrick Onyango the PRO KMP says that on 13/12/2022 at around 1730hrs at Kirinda LC1 Busabala a village meeting was held following a mob action on one Kiganda Samuel which occurred on 11/12/2022.

During the meeting, some residents pinned Barugahare Dan for having participated in the mob action by pouring paraffin in the ears of the deceased.

The residents then took a decision to arrest Barugahare who was found at a disputed piece of land where he is a caretaker. The land was under the protection of two security guards identified as Musinguzi Prosper and Ndyamuhaki Collin.

However, as the crowd approached the scene, they started pelting stones at the security guards prompting one of them to release a bullet which shot Tonny who was seriously injured and was rushed to Kirudu hospital where he later died.

The body of the deceased was taken to the City mortuary for postmortem.

Onyango identified the arrested suspects as Barugahare Dan, Prosper Musinguzi and Ndyamuhaki Collins, who are all being detained at Katwe police Division.
