51 suspected criminals arrested for terrorizing motorists on Northern By-pass
Detectives from Wandegeya Police station have arrested 51 suspects during an intelligence operation.
The intelligence-led operation was conducted in areas of Lower and upper Nsoba, Mulago III parish Kawempe Division in Kampala District on Wednesday 01/02/2023 at 1810hrs.
SSP Patrick Onyango the PRO KMP says this followed public outcry of increased criminality and opium usage among the youths who terrorize people using the northern bypass and the surrounding areas of Gayaza road, and Mawanda road among others.
The operation was commanded by SP Hiwumbire Hassan the Dpc for Wandegeya and deputized by OC operations, OC Kalerwe, and other teams of officers.
51 suspects were arrested among them is one female as listed below;

The female suspect is Nasege Sumaya.
All the suspects have been detained at Wandegeya Police station and charged with Being in Possession of Narcotic Drugs & Smoking Opium.
Exhibits recovered from them include sticks of Opium.
Onyango says the operation will continue to reduce the public outcry.
