26 Year Old Man Arrested for Allegedly Defiling 11 Year Old Child in Rubanda District

Police in Rubanda have arrested a 26-year-old man, identified as Ahumuza Dismus, a resident of Rwembungu Cell, Bubare Town Council, Rubanda District, for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old girl.

The victim, a pupil at Nyamiyaga Primary School, also resides in the same area.

The incident reportedly occurred on the evening of February 17, 2025, around 5:00 PM. Twinamasiko Enid, the victim’s mother, had left her 11-year-old daughter at home with her four other siblings to prepare supper. When she returned around 8:30 PM, she found all the children crying inside the house. After asking why, she learned that a man had allegedly entered the home, attacked them, and assaulted the victim.

Twinamasiko immediately reported the matter to the police for investigation.

ASP Maate Elly, the Kigezi Region Police PRO, confirmed that the suspect has been arrested to assist with the ongoing investigation.
