UB40 Ft Ali Campbell Event Postponed Due To Unforeseen Challenges

NBS TV and Talent Africa have announced the cancellation of the UB40 Ft Ali Campbell event, originally scheduled for December 21, 2023.

A statement released by the organizers explained that an unexpected event involving the head of state on Wednesday, December 20, coincided with their planned soundchecks and setup. Additionally, the chosen venue, Kololo, faced a unique challenge with over 1000 cars parked for inspection in preparation for the NAM and G77 conferences. These vehicles couldn’t be moved, creating a significant obstacle for the event setup. The stringent standards required by the UB40 production team for an international artist couldn’t be met under these circumstances.

The organizers assured the public that they are actively working to minimize the impact of the cancellation and are exploring alternative dates for the event. A joint statement expressed gratitude for the understanding and partnership of the audience, emphasizing their commitment to delivering exceptional events. The organizers pledged to keep everyone updated on any developments regarding rescheduling.

It was noted that prior to scheduling the concert, concerns had arisen about the lineup, with the original band distancing itself from Ali Campbell.
