Among the notable appointments are Justine Nameere, who has been named Minister of State for Local Government, and Shartsi Kutesa Musherure, appointed Minister of State for Finance, Planning and Economic Development in charge of Microfinance.

The reshuffle also sees prominent figures such as Ruth Nankabirwa, Evelyn Anite and Dr. Kenneth Omona leaving Cabinet.
