The Private Sector Foundation Uganda-PSFU is mourning its Executive Director Gideon Badagawa who has died.
According to Dr Elly Karuhanga the PSFU board chair, Badagawa passed on this morning at Mulago Hospital.
“The Board, Management and Staff of the Private Sector Foundation of Uganda PSFU, with deep sorrow, regret to announce the untimely death of their executive director, Mr Gideon Badagawa, who passed away this morning Monday, June 21st, 2021, in Mulago Hospital,” Karuhanga wrote.
It is also reported that Badagawa’s wife Susan Birungi Badagawa has week after losing her father to COVID-19. “We pray for the family and the private sector during this hard time” Karuhanga added.
Badagawa who passed at the age of 54, led the Private Sector Foundation Uganda-PSFU for the last 10 years.
He also worked with Uganda Manufacturers Association as Executive Director for 2 years, and was also a board member in the National Environment Management Authority- NEMA, Uganda Energy Credit Capitalization Company Limited, Uganda National Planning Authority-NPA, Board of Uganda Warehouse Receipts Authority-UWRA, and Economic Policy Research Centre-EPRC.
